PRESS: Yandex to sell ads on TV channel NTV’s Web site
MOSCOW, Jan 19 (PRIME) -- An advertising network of Russian Internet giant Yandex will sell commercials on the Web site of television channel NTV, ntv.ru, and other Internet floors where an NTV player is placed, business daily Vedomosti reported on Friday, citing people from the Internet company and the channel.
Advertisers will be able to place advertisements via the Yandex network through a tender or at a fixed price. A commercial can be presented as a video addition from a text advertisement in the Yandex.Direct service.
Yandex’s Commercial Director Leonid Savkov said that thanks to rather low prices of distribution, representatives of small and medium-sized business, which cannot afford commercials on television unlike major companies, will get access to online advertising.
“We’re witnessing growth in interest of the Web site’s visitors to video content and constantly raise its volume: from 10 to 25 hours of video are daily uploaded on the NTV site,” Director of NTV’s Internet department Andrei Klass told the daily.
